Whew!
The plants are in the garden. Hubby planted the new tree, the lilac bush, and the raspberries. I got all the starter plants in the vegetable/herb bed. Now I hope everything grows. It was seriously back-breaking work. At one point, I thought I would not be able to stand up. I guess I am no spring chicken. I hope I will be okay to run tomorrow.

This afternoon we went down to the store and grabbed some wood to make another raised bed. With Lux’s help, we got the last one together in record time. There is still a giant pile of dirt on the front boulevard that I’ll have to deal with, but I think we’re calling the rest of the day rained out.
Our final raised bed tally is three 5’ x 2 1/2’ x 18” and one 10’ x1 1/4’ x 12”.

Grandpa is in the hospital, and he is the cook. So I made some version of shepherd’s pie even though it is 80 degrees outside, because it is comfort food.
And now I’m eating the left over mashed potatoes, waiting for Grams to get home from church.
Not gonna be hungry by the time it’s done, and not even sorry.
