i love Mae Whitman and the vintage-y stuff she wears so well. i really do. case in point: however much i eye them in-store and however much i try, i just can’t justify buying those adorable black-and-white (possibly) Bass shoes she wears on Parenthood. so this Rachel Antonoff (sometime Bass shoe designer) S/S 2012 lookbook sounded like the perfect reason to put away my essay and admire the lovely combination that is Mae wearing vintage-inspired clothes and enviable shoes. the shoes are indeed enviable but the clothes? the photography? (i insist my amateur Canon point-and-shoot has seen better shots).
here are a few better dresses i spotted - but a less sleep-deprived eye will probably notice that they’re actually not 6 nice outfits, like i had thought, but rather 3 repeated ones… -
