    I’m glad I was born brown. It’s tough being a POC in this world, it’s even tougher being a Muslim woman in this world where politics and literature fap around orientalist imagery and flawed notions about me and similar women (You should see the rage my Afghan sister-friend has when she meets a white woman or male from the West asking her “about her thoughts on brutal Afghan men”). It’s disgusting to see white racism and then how many white people with “good intentions” deliberately refuse to acknowledge their privilege and tell us to “get over the past” while some of our own people, because of internalized racism, support the same but thank the Almighty above I’m very glad I’m brown. I got enough strength to tell racist, oppressive, colonial trash to get off my turf.

    Bacha baazi is a practice in Afghanistan in which young boys are kidnapped, trained as dancers and raped by older men. This is by far one of the most despicable and disgusting practices and can be thought of as human trafficking and sex slavery. These boys are deprived of their childhood and assaulted in all possible ways. 

    This practice has now spread all throughout the nation and has been amplified now that there are drug mafias and war lords in power outside of Kabul. It is absolutely imperative for us to understand this issue and spread awareness about it. Here is a PBS documentary about Bacha Bazi. I strongly encourage you all to watch it and to share it with people you know. Here is a petition to build a shelter in which victims of Bacha Bazi can live and learn. 

    Please spread the word.

    I constantly see people talking about they hate “angry”, “difficult” women and all I can think is…

    You lazy ass muhfukker.

    Because what you really mean is “I don’t want a woman who will require me to do anything, and if I’m really lucky, I won’t even have to respect her”.

    I love these women, myself. They’re the first people who, if someone comes to your house tryina kill you, they’re gonna have their shiv waiting to cut a nigga.

    They’re the same people who will stand up for you in the street when you’re catchin’ a proverbial beatdown.

    And all they’re asking for is respect.

    “Angry” and “difficult” women are women who know what they want and what they deserve, and they aren’t settling for your triflin’ ass. They can be your Queen, and all you have to do is treat them like one.

    That’s it.

    Mad simple.

    Have respect. Get the fuck off your ass and show her something. Let her teach you what she knows, because she probably knows more than you. Listen (actually listen) and be fucking quiet sometimes.

    That’s all you need to give up for a Queen, but some of y’all is too lazy even for that.
