I feel as though what I experience is not as much body dysphoria as it is cultural dysphoria. I’m generally ok with my body until I’m out in public, with people reacting to me and flinging gendered words at me in such a way that the resulting feelings of alientation cause me to turn my confusion and anger inward, directing it at the parts of my physical form that hold the symbolism of what I am percieved as culturally to those around me.
