Considering I chased my current man to the states from New Zealand I think we were pretty aggressive with making sure we got the chance to be together and really figure out if what we have between us was sustainable and real.

To be honest I have never felt this way about another person, and if I had I would have tried very hard to be together. However I am one of those people who believe that everything falls into place at the end.

So if I had been on the chase and the man I was chasing gave me an indication that he wasn’t on the same level as I was, it would definitely make me pause and think. No-one enjoys someone professing their love and interest repeatedly and early on in the relationship unless the feelings are mutual.

Plus, I didn’t realize this at the time but looking back most of the guys I was interested in or had sex with already had partners (they were open obviously because I would hate to be ‘the other man’) or we were clearly there for a purely sexual reason.

But those are the pitfalls of being interested in older men. My partner got a little freaked when he first met my parents because of our age difference, He came to the conclusion that they would have had to deal with an age difference anyway because if we hadn’t pursued our relationship then my next relationship would have been with a more mature man anyway.
