Today we went to the beach…I really forgot how much I love the ocean. :] I love the feeling of it, the smell of it, even the taste of it (well…maybe) when you’re body boarding and totally get wiped out by a huge-ass wave. I got really sunburned, but I loved it. Even though I’m totally glad to be going back to Texas to see Pretzel, I’ll really miss things here still.
We’re leaving on our two day drive starting Friday. We’ll get there Saturday evening, and I’ll go to see Prezzie and love on her for a while, then clean her and Chip’s stall, feed them, and head out to my best friend’s house for her birthday party sleepover thing. (Yeah, gotta find a gift to get her somewhere along the way.) I’m excited, I’ve missed my friends a lot! Then in the morning, my dad’s picking me up at 6:30 to go ride. In the heat, I’m not going to ride my horse when it’s 106 degrees, so it should be about 80 in the early morning. So I’ll ride for thirty to forty minutes, hose her off, make sure everything’s good, then go back to my friend’s house. I mean, everyone will still be sleeping, so it’s okay…:P
I’m definitely not looking forward to the two day drive, but I’m very excited to go home!
