Client: I want a poster that’s bigger then a peice of printer paper
Me: Well a lot of people also get 11 by 17 posters made up.
Client: How big is that?
Me: 11 inches by 17 inches.
Client: Yes but how big is it?

Client wanted us to design an animated ad to be played before a ceremony.
Client: “We want something very european, minimal, sleek kind of design.”
Us: “Sure.”
Upon the first evaluation meeting…
Client: “I think the design is too minimal, too sleek and too european.”
Us: “But that’s exactly what you requested.”
Client: “No, I never said it. The board doesn’t like it. You have to change it.”
This is pretty cool. Cocacolazero.com has a facial profiler where the program analizes a picture of your face and tries to find someone who looks like you, via FaceBook.
EDIT: Did it with another image and this one is more accurate.
Dear lord Maria Bamford is amazing. Thank you Maria for reminding me that the part of myself that talks out loud in weird voices while driving my parents Toyota Camry is completely healthy and potentially wonderful.
The Tetris God, written by me and Jeff Rubin, directed by Sam. Starring UCB’s own Neil Casey, who kills it. Defying our cries of “It’s not possible!,” Sam rewrote the order of the pieces so that they actually create a legitimate onscreen game during the sketch. One of my favorites in a while. Digg it.
This SNL sketch cracked me up. I was extra excited when Pat showed me the source material. This is so hard to accept as real but I have to trust Amanda - our resident Juggalo expert - that it is.
Side Theory: At some point in their career, every comedy writer will find an excuse to write a list a funny band names.
The Font Game from Johno Boardley, Justin Stahl and Kari Pätilä is in the App Store approval queue, due out any day. It’s a single-player, quick-fire font identification game in which you race the clock to name 30 typefaces in a multi-choice format. The beautifully designed interface makes liberal use of H&FJ’s Whitney family, which is a welcome change from the usual Helvetica. I’ve played with an early beta and even then the subtle animation effects and slightly non-standard UI made for a very handsome product. I’m sure it’ll be a big hit.
How does it feel to be a tumblr celebrity? Hmmm? :)
I’m not a Tumblr celebrity
Have you ever had a girlfriend?
Do middle school girlfriends count?
Favorite movie this year?
Ooo. This is a tough one. I saw Coraline in 3D and also Harry Potter came out this year. Then there’s Watchmen and Up. Oh. Angels and Demons came out this year too. Let’s not forget Slumdog Millionare. Ugh. So tough. I’ll go with Harry Potter because Dumbledore died.
TUB.
