I think “live worship album” might be the most problematic phrase I’ve read in a long while.

I live in a little blue house.

I live in a little blue house and I’ve lived here my whole life. It’s small, and old. The ceilings are slanted and the heating is horrible. We use electric blankets in the winter and my parents refuse to get air conditioning for the summer. 

My parents live simply, and they always have. They don’t care if there’s no hot water for a few days. They don’t need the laundry to be perfect. They listen to the t.v. way too loudly, don’t give me enough personal space and do the other parent vs. child habits. 

The food they eat isn’t healthy, but it doesn’t matter because they exercise so much most people think they’re crazy. 

We have raspberry bushes in our backyard. I love putting them in my cereal. We also have a grape vine and a garden that fills every salad need for the summer. Tomatoes are like apples here. 

I’ve always been allowed to decorate my room however I want. It got interesting for a while but now it’s pretty normal.  Now I’m sitting in it, very thankful for the room. The house. My parents. 

This house has been one of my life constants. This little blue house.
