This is the first birthday on which I’ve worked, I think. I left uni in 2006, and that November my birthday fell on a Sunday. The last two years, I’ve not been in the office on the actual day of my birthday, or for most of the surrounding week.
This time last year, I was on a plane to Kentucky, and the year before that I had a friend visiting from San Fransisco so took a week off work to do some touristy things with her.
It’s a little odd to be working today, then, although I’ve not actually got much on to be honest. I was meant to be going out for lunch with clients, but got bumped from that. In hindsight, that’s actually a plus because I have dinner tonight with the girlfriend and some friends, and need to be relatively corpus mentus for that…
