” New York is an ugly city, a dirty city. Its climate is a scandal, its politics are used to frighten children, its traffic is madness, its competition is murderous. But there is one thing about it - once you have lived in New York and it has become your home, no place else is will ever be good enough.” ― Megan McCafferty
No regrets.
This Wednesday, February 29th, all Yoga To the People studios (including the hot studios) in NYC & across the country will offer donation-based classes with the intention of contributing 100% of proceeds to Project Playground which creates safe play spaces for children in South Africa.
Please come to any of their studios that day to do your yoga and do some good!
Also, please help spread the word!
He’s sitting on a park bench with both his legs fully extended in front of him. It’s 7 o’clock. The night is cold and windy, and the park is any park in New York City. Mind you, it’s not Central Park, which I’m sure is the only one that comes to mind. Central Park is dark now. It’s empty, too, and…
New project: I’m gonna try and write a tiny piece of fiction a day. Some days, like today, they’ll border on nonfiction. Most days they’ll be bad, but some days they’ll be good. All of those days, though, I’ll be keeping my mind and wrist busy, which I never do and for many reasons really should.
They’ll all be handwritten in a single, double-spaced yellow piece of paper and then edited and transcribed. Follow if you’d like!

Anon, you’ve come back to me!
1. I’m afraid to ask certain people in my life how they feel about me, for sure
2. I try to hide a lot of my anxiety and doubt from other people…I don’t know how successful I am at that though
8. Like, of an object? I have a thing about vintage fabric. Handkerchiefs, quilts, embroidered towels. I love how soft and worn the cotton gets
16. I’m so glad you asked this one, I was hoping someone would! I would be copper. It’s my favorite metal and I think it’s the most beautiful. It also has some interesting magical properties too.
28. How about an awkward story from today? A guy I went on a date with last year sits right behind me in my comm law class (we have assigned seats). And today after we got our tests back I tried to cut down one of the rows of seats so I wouldn’t have to wade through the crowd of people. Except he was trying to walk down the same row, which is in no way wide enough for two people. So I kind of just stood at the end of the row and he looked at me like I had three heads. This is why I’m not good with people :/
