I didn’t realise how much I missed her until she was back.
After seeing her live 30-something times.. this reminds me of the ‘spaz-attacks’ she used to have while singing Casualty.

La vita è quella cosa che si scontra contro gli elenchi mentali di pro e contro che facciamo, li spazza via e ride di noi.
È quella cosa che pensi sia facile trasferire musica da un computer a un IPod e invece no.
È quella cosa che i giorni arrivano, benedetti loro, e se ne vanno, maledetti loro, perché in barba a Bergson e Sant’Agostino, anche se il tempo è soggettivo poi 24 ore sono 24 ore, mica sono infinite; anche a esser bravi ad assaporarle tutte.
La vita è quella cosa che se ne sta appollaiata a guardarci mentre noi costruiamo le nostre casette e le nostre abitudini e poi, con un lieve tocco che chiamiamo coincidenza spazza via tutto.
E noi, noi che dopo esserci arrabattati per far quadrare i conti, guardiamo increduli il nostro sorriso idiota nello specchio. -

Georgia O’Keeffe—Hands is one of the images that Stieglitz made during his first portrait session with O’Keeffe, in 1917, when she traveled by train to New York to see her second show of drawings and watercolors at 291. “A few weeks after I returned to Texas, photographs of me came,” she recalled. “In my excitement at such pictures of myself I took them to school and held them up for my class to see. They were surprised and astonished too. Nothing like that had come into our world before.” The notion that an expressive portrait might be made without including the sitter’s face was indeed novel.
