I dislike goodbyes, and it has now come the time to say goodbye/farewell/saiyonara (again) to a good friend of mine who i love to bits.  I feel blessed that I got the opportunity to meet while we were at uni, orelse this post would have never existed, nor would have all the fun and crazy adventures that have taken place ever occurred. 

The first time round at saying goodbye was all good. A move to Melbourne meant that she really wasn’t that far away and always a cheap flight down for a short visit.  This time however, it’s the BIG move to the UK, just a litle bit further away this time. But this only means it’s my push to get myself over to this country for a holiday sooner rather than later (if all goes to plan and I am committed to saving starting now - July 2011).

We have gone through and experienced alot together over the years - ups, downs, hookups, breakups, drunken behaviour, boys, bands,…boys in bands.  Moments which won’t be forgotten. We have a fair age differnece between us (roughly 3 years) but I never feel like the ‘older’ one at all. 

I know technically this isn’t really a goodbye as today with this thing called technology, we will always be in contact and updating each other through various mediums (only if I  can figure out this world people call skype), i think it will be the physical side of things and having her here that I will miss the most. 

So to Helena: May this next chapter and adventure in your life bring you happiness and success.  I am so excited for you that this is finally happening.  And remember what Alex said - the west side is dodgy, the east side is cool.
