- Me: Did you learn about Christoper Columbus today?
- A: Yeah, our teacher told us that its important for us to know about Christopher Columbus
- Me: What did she want you to know about him?
- A: That he found a river to put his boat in but it was too narrow, so he couldn't find a shortcut back, so he couldn't get out of America
- Me: So what did he do since he couldn't leave?
- A: He made the Indians slave people
- Me: Was that a good thing or a bad thing?
- A: BAD, because Indians are people too.
- Me: Why didn't the Indians kick him out?
- A: Because it was too late, Christopher Columbus had already made them slaves. If i was Christopher Columbus I would ask the Indians if we could share their home and live together.
- Me: What if the Indians said no?
- A: I would find a different pace where they don't live- or just go back home.
