Lotta talk about tv shows goin round and theyre among my favorite things ever so here’s a list of my favorite episode of my 5 favorite shows
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Season 4, episode 22: Restless
This is technically the season finale but it sure don’t feel like it. It’s almost like they finished up the season and suddenly realized they had an extra and did whatever they felt like. It’s weird, the tone doesn’t match with the rest of the season, it’s spooky, it’s foretelling, it’s like David Lynch came into direct an episode. I love it.
Avatar: The Last Airbender – Season 2, episode 15: The Tales of Ba Sing Se
Ah god, this was such a hard choice, I’m still not even sure this ranks above some third season episodes like The Beach or The Firebending Masters but this one does ultimately stand out. Six little vignettes that are insightful, funny, heartbreaking, and silly. It’s a pinnacle of storytelling.
The OC – Season 2, episode 15: The Mallpisode
For one episode it takes a break from the constant angst and drama and plot twists and just lets these four friends have some fun.
Twin Peaks – Season 2, Episode 9: Arbitrary Law
The final reveal of Laura Palmer’s killer and several of the most movingly creepy moments I have ever seen in a television show.
Spaced – Season 2, episode 5: Gone
Awwwwwwwwww. Man.
