I started my new job seven weeks ago and, ever since, I have been THE WORST at Tumblr. There are two primary reasons for this: firstly, I have barely any free time, and secondly, the internet is so shockingly awful that my dashboard won’t load anymore due to hopeless middle-of-nowhere-village internet. The latter factor is probably the worst thing about living here; I can’t stream anything, and even a youtube video often takes an hour to load, if it loads at all. But I am coping with this lack of online-ness quite easily because of the first reason. I now work 37.5 hours a week, and live in a tiny hamlet with all my colleagues, so even my two days off per week and my evenings are taken up with actual real life activities, and if I am sitting in my room shaking my fist at my stupid, slowly loading dashboard, someone usually comes and drags me to the village pub. I have also joined some ‘clubs’, so now I am singing in what was advertised as a glee club but is actually a super serious sheet music singing group, and rehearsing for plays for the two amateur dramatic societies I am part of. Basically, it’s been a massive life change, and I am so very tired a lot of the time, but I am also very happy and it’s been better, so far, than I ever could have hoped. (But I do miss Tumbling and having time to take photos of nice hairstyles quite a bit, shhhh).

Mission: GET ELLEN DEGENERES TO DANCE WITH ME!
Hey everyone! I’m in Hollywood and have 5 days until the Los Angeles Premiere of “Girl Walk // All Day”! … While I was on the 35-hour train ride from Seattle, I decided to turn this week into a fun mission (see headline).
Around hour-29-or-so of the trip, and after 6+ months of editors-block, I got a sudden burst of inspiration to make a video dedicated to Ellen with some friends I made while stretching in the game room.
And now I prepare for phase two… Starting today, I’m going to make a different dance video for each day of this week, each in a different spot of Los Angeles, all leading up to the Hollywood screening on February 25th! Hopefully (with your help!) they will catch Ellen’s attention and I will get to dance with her!
GO, ANNE, GO!
