After 12 years, 7 books and 8 movies I finally decided what would permanently commemorate my love of all things Potter.
“After all this time, Severus?”
“Always.”
It perfectly embodies my love of the series and how all those years reading those books shaped my adolescence. Most Potter-philes get it immediately and I love it even more for that reason :)

It’s the merry-go-round horse from the book cover of The Catcher in the Rye. The quote is “Ask her if she still keeps all her kings in the back row” which was said by Holden asking about Jane.
This tattoo is my first one on my ribs and it means a lot to me. In the story, when Jane played checkers with Holden, she would always keep her kings in the back row. This was a symbol of safety for her since her dad abused her. I also have a wall of safety up and one day when I look down at my tattoo and ask myself if i still keep my kings in the back row, hopefully I can answer “no.”
This picture was taken right after I had it done. My dad took me to get it done as a Christmas present.
Mostly I just needed to put this here because baby husky.
