if you think about it celebrating your birthday is so odd. i mean of course it’s the day we’ve been brought into this world but why do we get presents. why do we say thank you when we’re greeted happy birthday. “hey! you were born today!” “thank you!” if anything our parents should be greeted about our birthdays. our parents are the ones who gave birth to us. i just think it’s weird how people greet us for something we couldn’t help.

Probably had the best morning:
I went to mass for the Feast of the Assumption at St. Anastasia’s.
Pulled a yolo, and randomly called the rectory of St. Peter’s and asked if I could go in for confession.
Got lost driving to St. Peter’s but finally made it on time.
Had a really awesome and grace-filled confession with Fr. Matthew.
Then, we proceeded to have a genuine conversation about life for a long time.
My cup overflows.
