The Characters of Igot
—-
Synopsis
One day, Samara, an over-sized and hungry sigbin with menacing eyes, was on the prowl for a delicious kill. Sigbins are known to have young children for its meals.Scanning the landscape, the sigbin chanced upon the hunter named Igot, who was in pursuit of a baboy damo (wild boar). The predator sneaked up to its prey, ready to bare its fangs when suddenly, it realized that Igot wasn’t a child but already a full-grown, adult pygmy.
Igot quickly realized the dog’s mistake, and took a risk by befriending it. He urged Samara to travel with him in search of the tastiest, most mouth-watering meal the world can offer. This proposition enticed Samara, enough for it to sacrifice hunger pangs for that promise.
Little did Samara know that this trip was Igot’s strategy to save the children in the nearby village. After weeks of being on the journey together, the unlikely partnership of the sigbin and pygmy unfolds into a story about friendship.

Keyframe Animation
Short Canadian film from 1971 demonstrating a vector animation technology, a precursor to Flash:
This is a digital dub of a 7 minute, 45 second 16 mm film produced in 1971 by the National Research Council of Canada, in Ottawa. It demonstrates not only one of the first ineractve computer systems for animation, one used for production, it was also an outstanding example of early user-centred design.
The system was developed by Marceli Wein and Nestor Burtnyk, both of whom won Academy Awards for this influential work. -
C86 is the work of Matt Lyon, an illustrator with a passion for geometry and gradients (in a good way). His work actually kinda reminds me of 60’s artist Peter Max; every astral but more digitally sculpted. I especially like his textures which give the work an almost water color effect.
And a quick update: Matt Lyon has a tumblr that’s as on point as his artwork.
