Last week I rebranded our department and this is the result!
Click on the image to check out our webpage.
The concept for the brand was to keep it simple, clean and unisex. I used a ven diagram as the core of the logo to represent the three things that make our department what it is - God, our Gifts and the Gospel - out of which comes Communications. We are a multi-disciplinary studio working with film, graphic and web design to promote YWAM Montana and other ministries and we are currently looking for more volunteer staff to join us here. We need short and long term Graphic Deisgners, Web Designers, Film makers, Illustrators and Photographers.
If you are interested please contact communications@ywammontana.org or pass this on to someone that you think might be! Thanks.

The railway line running through Kibera in Nairobi… an active railway line, by the way. The last time I shot this scene several years ago, I remember feeling completely overwhelmed by the scale of the need and the seeming impossibility of the task we’re involved with through the E3 Initiative (formerly EngageHIV).
When I stopped here again to shoot this yesterday though, my heart was filled with hope after seeing the impact of several years of sustained work by my friends and coworkers in Kibera and beyond in Nairobi partnering with EngageHIV.
It’s a long road… but we are headed towards hope here. And looking back, I can see just how far the work has come. A journey that isn’t measured in distance, but in lives saved, communities empowered and hope restored.
My friends and coworkers we partner with here have made that journey happen… I’m just honoured to be able to join the train.

One Year.
Woah packing to go back to Cape Town for a year. So much happens in a year, my life was completely transformed in a year. My heart went from being enslaved to a lost world not sure if there was any escape, to being filled with the joy of the Lord and the simple realization that He alone is worth it all. I was in love and chasing after a world that had nothing to offer, but now am in love with my maker and know that only He can satisfy me. My deep longing to be accepted by every other lover has turned to pure desire to see Jesus glorify His name among the earth. I once thought money and nice things could make me feel happy or complete. Now I realize that true joy comes from obedience to the Father, and only by looking to the Lamb will I feel whole.
When I think about these things and what God can do in just one year, it makes my heart so happy. Knowing that by the time I come back home from Africa, I will again be someone totally different than I am now. Falling even more in love with Jesus and getting even deeper revelation of my beautiful King. Knowing more of His faithfulness and more of His perfect character.
“Here am I, Send me.” Isaiah 6:8. I am ready to go. Ready to see God’s kingdom come to this earth. I know not everything will be easy, but who needs easy? He is worth it everyday again and again.
The Lord has been so faithful in providing the funds for this trip, I have had quite a few one-time donations, that have been so helpful and such a blessing. I do only have about $450 each month that people have felt on their heart to partner with me financially. I am praying at least five more families or individuals to partner with this ministry monthly. Please let me know if you are one of these people. Or click the “Partner” link at the left side of the page.
Thank you all for reading, thank you for praying, and thank you for partnering. I love you all.

Recently as a family we were in South Carolina, visiting Comm Trans partners who are seeing Jesus made famous in their community, speaking in churches, and enjoying southern hospitality. There are many stories to tell, some of which will appear in the coming days, but one I felt to highlight was “The LOT Project”. LOT stands for Least Of These.
Our dear friends Jed and Melodie, community transformations graduates and partners were part of the beginnings of the Lot Project. Jed introduced me to Matt Beasley while there and our hearts connected immediately. He’s a fiery, young, laid down lover of Jesus with Tattoos. The evening we had together we spent time with the poor and homeless, talked about the Lord, planned some potential community transformations teams to come down to be part of this, and dreamed about transformation in the community we were in, Anderson, South Carolina. Then we walked over to the “AHOP” (Anderson House Of Prayer).
AHOP is next door to the LOT project. The marriage of prayer and missions in a clear commitment to love the poor, share the gospel, and love the Lord together in the house of prayer. There will be much to come on this, as the house of prayer is almost finished with construction, and in the last days the Lord has spoken clearly that Community Transformations and the Lot project/Ahop are to partner together to see transformation. It’s beautiful. All around the world the Lord is awakening Intimacy unto fruitfulness. Check out this video about AHOP and pray for these guys as they pioneer a lifestyle of Prayer and Urban Missions in Anderson, South Carolina.
To his glory
