If you know me, you’re probably well aware that I have a serious obsession with The Selby. I check it every morning and whenever there’s a new post I get downright giddy. With the exception of one or two of the people featured, I don’t think I’ve really ever been disappointed. Someday I hope to have a
cquired enough interesting crap to make myspace worthy of photographing. Until then, I’m just a Selby groupie.In this video, entitled The Story of The Selby, Todd Selby explains how it began, how he he can afford to run the site sans advertisements and a few of his recent projects. Enjoy.

Dear Washington
I’m delighted to say I’ll be visiting Washington DC to speak about Fair Use and Garfield Minus Garfield at World’s Fair Use Day on the 12 January 2010. The event will be held at the Newseum and is a free, all-day celebration of fair use: the legal right that allows innovators and creators to make particular uses of copyrighted materials.

mws_ The View from the Chair. Yes Elephant Mountain is there today, as it was yesterday. I awoke at 6 AM after a good night of sleep. Canuckistan has been good for me. I figure I sleep 1 hour a night longer than before we moved here, less stress. That is adding time to my life. It was dark at 6 AM so I made coffee. (Good something Bjorn) As it got light I saw only clouds, no mountain, and wished for snow. And snow I got. It is snowing in this photo. You just can’t see it, like the mountain.
