The Best Season Finales:

1) Parks and Rec: I cried twice at this finale—it was perfect. These characters are so fucking well written it’s ridiculous. Leslie Knope should run for president, she’d deffo get my fucking vote. Also, let’s hope this shows 13 episode run next season gets crazy high ratings so it doesn’t get cancelled. This show is the best.

2) Happy Endings: This season finale was only slightly less perfect than the Parks and Rec one. It made me tear up because by the ending every character was happy (and plus, they were all dancing). This show became a favorite of mine this season. It’ consistently hysterical.

3) Modern Family: This episode made me cry (yes, I’m an emotional child) by making Cam and Mitch more human and real than they’d ever been prior. The pseudo Little Miss Sunshine ending for Jay and Lilly made me super happy and there wasn’t one part of this episode I didn’t love.

4) New Girl: This show is wonderful and shut up. I wasn’t too keen on the issue of Nick’s moving out being resolved at the end (I wanted it to be a plot point of next season) but I did, however, love them all being happy and dancing in the apartment at the end (what can I say, I’m gay).

5) 30 Rock: This season has been rough. Like, really really rough. But, I liked how they ended it. I want things to work out for Liz so badly (mostly because then I know things will eventually work out for me). The scene with her and Jack at the end was maybe the best scene all season. I do, however, hope this show has a much better final season (which is next season).

6) Community: This episode was good. It wasn’t my favorite—my favorite was 2 episodes before the finale where they were all crazy 8bit video game characters and THAT episode should have been the season finale (then it would’ve been number 2 or 3 on this list). Still, this finale was still better than most things on TV. But, I love this show and thought this season was a bit rough and hope that with Dan Harmon gone it either has a more cohesive storyline or gets cancelled because I don’t want it to turn into The Office where I watch only because I used to love it. Speaking of which…

The Worst Finales:

1) The Office: Did this even feel like a finale? Does anyone even care? Does anyone think this show is still funny? I want this show to be cancelled so I can stop watching it. Or get incredibly funny again—but I don’t see that happening. The best part? knowing I’ll never have to see Robert California again. He was the worst in a season full of worsts.

2) American Horror Story: This was like, forever ago—but it still counts…right? Sure. I loved the whole first season but kinda hated the finale. It was boring and seemed incredibly rushed. I did love the cliffhanger but from what I understand about next season we won’t see these characters again? Hmph.

3) Dr Who: Again, forever ago…but still. River Song’s character had such a good build up I guess it was almost like Lost—people were bound to be disappointed. But, Christ on a cross, this was a shitmess of a finale. It seemed JUST like the prior season finale (all of time being out of whack) but then him marrying River was just like, a blip in the episode and he didn’t seem to WANT to marry her. Also, the Doctor probably should’ve died. I love Matt Smith but it made sense for him to die. I still love all these characters so much, that I could watch them sit around watching TV and I’d like the episode better than most things on TV…in fact, I’d love an episode of them sitting around watching TV.

Shows I Gave Up On:

- 2 Broke Girls: This show legit made me laugh more often than I’d like to admit. But, all the ethnic characters were racist and not funny and seemed like they belonged in a show from 1990. Also, why would any new show use a laugh track? Kat Dennings, I hope you’re in Thor 2 because I love you.

- Grimm: This should could have been good but zzzZZzZZzZzz

- The River: I mean, really. It was kind of creepy at first then got really awful and really fucking boring really fucking fast. It wanted to be the new Lost. I wanted it to be the new Lost. But, alas…
