I’d love to hang around, but I’m leaving and going here. An old buddy came in from out of town and this is the best place to drink in Rapid City (provided you have thousands of dollars).
I like drinking here. Sometimes, I will save up money for 6 or 8 months and go down there and almost afford a beer.
Yeah, it’s pretty boutique.
You can get ANYTHING there, though. I can probly get a real Lambic!
And my day on Tumblr comes full circle.

It was 10 years ago this week — as the country was barreling toward war with Iraq — that Natalie Maines, lead singer of the Dixie Chicks, stood in front of a packed house in London and said: “Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence. And we’re ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas.” It didn’t matter that the evidence to invade Iraq was questionable or that Maines later apologized. The damage was done, and one of the most popular acts in the country became its most hated. Its music was banned from radio, CDs were trashed by bulldozers, and one band member’s home was vandalized.
All such a shame, because Natalie Maines and the Dixie Chicks were right. The Bush administration led the country to war under false pretenses. And polls have shown since that the majority of the country believes the invasion of Iraq was a mistake.

Whenever I am asked for a title when buying something on the internet,
as in Mr., Mrs., Miss, or Ms., I always put “Lord”. Honesty is the best policy, I figure. I imagine them down at the Post Office going, “Who the hell is Lord Michael Kindt?” Also, whenever I go get the mail I wear a cardboard Burger King crown.

The ACLU of Florida on Wednesday formally opposed a proposal to reinstate opening prayers at Miami-Dade Commission meetings. The proposal, by Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, is scheduled for a final vote Tuesday. In a letter to commissioners, ACLU of Florida Executive Director Howard Simon and John de Leon, president of the organization’s Greater Miami chapter, urged commissioners to keep their opening moment of silence, warning that prayer could be “divisive” and lead to a possible lawsuit.

Chile's Pop Explosion: Music by the DIY Internet Generation

Like most musical phenomena, the Chilean pop explosion started without a blueprint.
Take for instance its most representative figure, Javiera Mena. During her first major performance, at a Santiago movie art house in 2002, she was still looking for a sound.
