Custom Code Troubleshooting

What should I do if my blog is missing content or appears to be blank?

If your blog looks weird, isn’t arranged how you’d like, or is totally blank, it’s possible that you’ve inserted incorrect code into your theme or the description area of your Customize page.

Remove code from your blog’s description:

  1. Check your blog Description to see if any scripts or code are incomplete.
  2. Remove any scripts or code in your blog Description, then add new copies of those scripts or code until you figure out the cause of the problem.

Revert from Custom HTML to a standard theme:

  1. Save a copy of your Custom HTML, then go back to the standard version of your blog theme or install that theme from the Theme Garden.
  2. Add custom code back gradually until you figure out the cause of the problem.
If you can’t view the Customize button on your blog, you can always access the Customize Menu via the Settings page, which can be reached via the gear icon on your Dashboard. Unfortunately, we cannot help troubleshoot problematic code.
