Drafts

What are drafts?

Drafts are posts that you aren't ready to publish yet.

How do I create a draft?

  1. When creating a new post, click the arrow next to "Publish" and choose "Save as draft" from the menu.
  2. Click "Save draft."

How do I access my saved drafts?

Click "Drafts" on the right side of the page. (If you have multiple blogs, first choose the blog from the menu on the top right.)

Private Posts

How do I make posts private?

  1. When creating a new post, click the arrow next to "Publish" and choose "Private" from the menu.
  2. Click "Create private post."

Keep in mind the following:

  • The post will not be published to your blog, and you're the only one who can see it.
  • Private posts on additional blogs can be seen by other Admins or Members.

How do I access my private posts?

  1. Choose the blog from the menu on the top right.
  2. Scroll through your Dashboard until you find the post.
  3. To get the private URL, click the share icon, then click "Private URL."

Scheduled Posts

How do I schedule a post to be published at a later time?

  1. When creating a new post, click the arrow next to "Publish" and choose "Publish on..." from the menu.
  2. In the field below, enter the time you'd like to publish the post.
    1. You can use relative date and time (e.g. "next Tuesday, 10am")
    2. You can use absolute date and times (e.g. "mm/dd/yy 12:34am" or "mm/dd/yyyy 12:34 a.m.")
  3. Click "Schedule post."

How do I access my scheduled posts?

Click "Queue" on the right side of the page. (If you have multiple blogs, first choose the blog from the menu on the top right.)

Note: You will only see the Queue option if the blog has one or more posts that have been scheduled or queued.

Backdating Posts

Can I backdate or set a custom date for posts?

Sure. That affects the post's order on your blog, but not on your Dashboard.

How do I backdate posts?

  1. Go to an existing post and click "edit."
  2. Click the gear icon at the top right corner.
  3. Edit the date or time to something in the past.
  4. Click "Save post."

Can I backdate new posts?

No. You can only create a new post and backdate it after it's been published.

Queue

What is the Queue?

It helps keep your blog active by staggering posts over a period of hours or days.

How do I add posts to my Queue?

  1. When creating a new post, click the arrow next to "Publish" and choose "Add to queue" from the menu.
  2. Click "Queue post."

How do I access my queued posts?

Click "Queue" on the right side of the page. (If you have multiple blogs, first choose the blog from the menu on the top right.)

How do I edit my Queue settings?

  1. Click Settings (the gear icon) at the top of your Dashboard.
  2. Click the blog you'd like to update on the left side of the page.
  3. Edit your settings in the Queue section.
  4. Hit "Save."

How many posts can I have published automatically from my Queue?

You can use the Queue to publish up to 50 posts per day.

Can I pause the Queue?

No, so make sure the posts are ready to be published before adding them to the Queue.

How many posts can I store in the queue?

You can store 300 posts at a time. If you want to add more than that, we recommend saving posts as Drafts and moving them into your Queue as needed.

Time zones

How do I change my time zone?

  1. Click Settings (the gear icon) at the top of your Dashboard.
  2. Click the blog you'd like to update on the left side of the page.
  3. Go to the Time zone section and make your update in the dropdown menu.
  4. Hit "Save."

What happens to my posts if I change my time zone?

Time zone changes will not affect published posts, only posts published or edited after the change.
